Strasbourg, France Travel Diary

Thursday, July 28, 2016

Being that Strasbourg was the first place I had ever visited in France, you guys can probably imagine that I was very excited. I imagined myself strolling down streets lined with stores like Chanel, Hermes, Celine, and Cartier, spending all my time and money shopping in little boutiques and eating at the best bakeries. Unfortunately, this day dream was better suited for a place like Paris rather than Strasbourg, but nevertheless, Strasbourg was a unique experience in itself. The only French city to have switched nationalities multiple times since its founding, Strasbourg is both a French and German city. Despite its conflicting personalities, Strasbourg still manages to have that French charm that everybody looks for when visiting France.

Amsterdam -->Food

Friday, July 22, 2016

Everyone seems to be obsessed with food these days, especially on social media. So I know I couldn't miss out on an opportunity to post about some of the cool places I ate in Amsterdam.

Let me start by saying that this is one European city you won’t have to worry about finding a place to eat. Amsterdam has all sorts of cuisine from Chinese, to Italian, to Thai, to Japanese, to Indian, to American, you name it they got it.

(Be sure to read my previous post to know what I am talking about)

A City of Bicycles: Amsterdam Travel Diary

(aren't these flowers gorgeous)

If you read my previous post you would know that I was on my way to Europe and when you are reading this I will have just finished visiting my first city: Amsterdam, The Netherlands!

To be honest, before I started to plan this trip, I never considered visiting Amsterdam. But after hearing: everyone loves Amsterdam, you should go to Amsterdam, and Amsterdam’s so beautiful, I knew I had to go.

The 2 and a half days I spent in Amsterdam were nothing but magical. The city is truly picturesque and reminds me a lot of Venice. Even though I wasn’t the biggest fan of the layout of Venice, there is something special about Amsterdam that makes it different.

What I packed for my trip to Europe

Monday, July 11, 2016

Packing for a trip can be stressful; especially if you are going somewhere far away, will be gone for two weeks, and have no access to a wash machine or wifi.

That will be me in just a few short days as I take my suitcase and pack up my life for two weeks of adventure in Europe.

Although I have been on trips and vacations many times, I have only gone to Europe once and I am beyond excited to be going again. During my first trip to Europe I visited Italy and Spain and the trip was overwhelming, amazing, unbelievable, hot and hectic. I am hoping that this time I am filled with the same emotions and the trip turns out even better.

What you will need:                                                                           What you might need:
Hair elastics                                                                                            Mirror
Bobby pins                                                                                             Hairspray

Braided Bun:
Take a piece of hair above your ear under your top layer of hair and section it off. Dutch braid that section horizontal all the way to the back of your head. Once you get to the back of your head proceed to normally braid your hair all the way to the end and secure the ends with a bobby pin. Take the rest of your hair, leaving the braid out and twist it into a bun, securing with bobby pins. Then take the braided section, wrap around the bun and pin.

Oreo-stuffed Chocolate Chip Cookies

Monday, July 4, 2016

4th of July is one of my favorite holidays to celebrate. The fireworks, the barbecue, and the dessert. The dessert is definitely the best part and I find that nothing says 4th of July like a platter of chocolate chip cookies and a box of Oreos.

But what if you wanted to take your dessert to the next level? Putting Oreos inside those chocolate chip cookies; now that's something people will remember.

Juno. The Dog or the Beach

Saturday, July 2, 2016

Recently, I welcomed a new member into my family, an adorable old English bulldog named Juno. A few days ago she turned 4 months old and she is the sweetest and goofiest dog you will ever meet.

My family and I named her Juno after the beach where our vacation home in Florida is located. Juno Beach has a special place in our lives and because we don’t live there year round, having our dog Juno with us keeps that second home close by.
